On 12–13 July 2022, the congress “Current Issues of Mozart Research IV.” will take place in the Villa Lanna in Prague, under the patronage of the President of the Czech Academy of Sciences, Prof. RNDr. Eva Zažímalová, CSc., and in memory of the Mozart expert Prof. Dr. Manfred Hermann Schmid. During the congress, leading experts on Mozart research from Germany, Austria, Italy, Israel, the USA and the Czech Republic will give lectures presenting the most recent results of their research for the first time just a Prague. On the evening before the congress, the exhibition “The unique character of the operas performed in Prague at the coronations of Maria Theresa and Leopold II: Semiramide riconosciuta (1743) and La clemenza di Tito (1791)” will be formally opened in the Villa Bertramka. The exhibition was financially supported by the Czech-German Future Fund and a private American sponsor. (The opening of the exhibition is by invitation only.)
