Jiří Roháček (ed.)
The publication brings together papers from the 18th and 19th conference about sepulchral monuments. Institute of Art History, CAS has organized these multi-day conferences since 2000. They focus on sepulchral monuments as material artifacts of sepulchral culture and art in their traditional sense, showing actual or methodological relationships to Central Europe. However, the conferences also feature topics that shed light on the context in which these monuments were created and used. The emphasis is on interdisciplinarity, inter-regionality, and inter-institutionality. The 18th conference focused on monuments created before 1526, while the 19th conference had no time limit.
