Photographer
Vlado Bohdan studied art photography at the Faculty of Film and TV at the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague (1993 – 1998). Since 1999, he has been teaching theatre photography at the academy and working as a photographer at the IAH CAS. In 2019, he was appointed head of the IAH's photographic studio. Bohdan makes professional photographic documentation of both Czech and international architecture, sculptures, paintings, drawings, prints and applied art objects for IAH's purposes. For exhibitions and publications, he creates new prints and silver bromide prints from original negatives, such as those by Josef Sudek from the collection of IAH CAS.
In his freelance work, he focuses on subjective documentary photography in its metaphorical forms, portrait and theatre photography, and staged art photography.
