Milada Jonášová studied musicology at the Faculty of Arts, Charles University (PhD. 2008) and theology at the Catholic Theological Faculty, Charles University (MA 1997). In 1999, she began to work at the Institute of Musicology, CAS and from 2003 to 2018, she was based at the Cabinet of Music History at the Institute of Ethnology, CAS, focusing on the life and work of W. A. Mozart, the reception of his work during his lifetime, Italian opera of the 18th and 19th centuries and 18th-century church music. She studies the production of Mozart music scores in Prague copying workshops and their dissemination in European countries. Jonášová has received a number of stay-and-study scholarships: in 2000 at the Facoltà di Paleografia e Filologia musicale in Cremona (Ministero degli Affari Esteri), in 2002–2003 at Freie Universität in Berlin (DAAD), in 2003 at the Internationale Stiftung Mozarteum in Salzburg (ÖAD - Ernst Mach scholarship), and in 2008, 2011, 2017 at University of Tübingen  (DAAD). She is co-editor (with Tomislav Volek) of the series L’opera italiana nei territori boemi durante il Settecento (Academia Publishing House, six volumes until 2023) and of the proceedings of the Prague Mozart Congresses Aktuelle Fragen der Mozart-Forschung within the series Mozart Studien (Hollitzer Publishing House, Vienna).
