This pocket-sized guide is the sixth volume of the Monumenta Bohemiae et Moraviae series presenting the history and artistic decoration of the Late-Baroque church in Velké Heraltice, one of the most interesting sacral buildings of Georg Friedrich Gans from the mid-18th century. In a clear and accessible form, the book introduces the professional and lay public to the findings of the recent archaeological survey of the church’s medieval foundations, the cultural-historical and architectural context of the Late-Baroque structure, and the changes to the furnishings and appearance of the church in the 19th and the beginning of the 20th century. References to archival sources and literature appear at the end of the book.
