Dalibor Prix studied art history and aesthetics at the Faculty of Arts, Charles University in Prague  (PhDr. 1989; CSc. 1993). He has worked for the Prague Heritage Institute (1989-92; 1995-98) and taught at the Department of History and Museum Studies, Silesian University in Opava (1992-95). Since 2006, he has been teaching at the Department of Auxiliary Historical Sciences, Silesian University in Opava. In 1998, he began to work at the IAH CAS as a researcher focusing on medieval architecture. He co-edited Umělecké památky Prahy (volume 2: Nové Město, Vyšehrad and 3: Malá Strana) and between 2004 and 2017, he worked as editor on Umělecké památky Prahy. Velká Praha, M–Ž. Prix is currently working on Umělecké památky Moravy a Slezska (volumes 3 and 4) and writing texts for the upcoming publication of Imago, imagines. He also conducts research into medieval sacral buildings, as well as castle architecture in Bohemia, Moravia and Silesia.
