Kateřina Kubínová studied history, Latin philology and art history at the Faculty of Arts, Charles University  (Ph.D. 2005). In 2002 she started working as a research assistant in the IAH Photographic library and since 2005 she has been working as a researcher in the Department of Medieval Art. She participated in the project Art in the Czech Lands 800–2000 and was the principal investigator of the grant The Prague Gospels Cim 2: A Manuscript Between Lands and Centuries of Medieval Europe (CSF). She was a member of the research team for the grant project Imago, imagines and contributed to the results of the grant as author and editor. In 2016, she curated and co-authored the exhibition Slavic Monastery of Charles IV. She was a member of the research team for the grant project Image/s in Přemyslid era: Contexts and Forms and Reflecting Jerusalem in Medieval Czech Lands (CSF). She is currently participating at the project Sicherung und Bewahrung des Wandmalereizykluses im Kreuzgang des Emmausklosters in Prag (2023–2025) provider Deutsche Bundesstiftung Umwelt). She teaches at the Faculty of Arts at Palacký University in Olomouc.
