Jan Galeta graduated in Art History at the Faculty of Arts Masaryk University (Ph.D. 2020). From 2015 to 2020, he worked for the publishing house Foibos Books and participated in the preparation of books and exhibitions on architecture. Between 2018 and 2023, he was a member of the research team of the project Architecture and Czech Politics in the 19th-21st Century at UMPRUM, led by Jindřich Vybíral and Cyril Říha. Since 2023, he has been an assistant professor at the Department of Art History at the Faculty of Arts in Brno. Since 2023, he has been a member of the Institute of Art History research team at the Czech Academy of Sciences for the project "Invisible Agents" in Architecture (1908-38). Policies, Principles, and Projects in Central European Ministries of Public Works, led by Vendula Hnídková and Richard Kurdiovsky. Jan Galeta's research focuses on 18th-20th century architecture and topics such as architecture and nationalism, architecture and propaganda, architecture and politics. In addition, he also deals with issues related to Eco-Art History, especially the exploitation of landscape and the visual culture of industrialization.
